Kingdom County Show
Show Safety & General Rules
All exhibitors, competitors, trade exhibitors and members of the public attending the Kingdom County Show must comply with the following rules.
Attendance at the show constitutes acceptance of these regulations and all associated policies published on the Kingdom County Show website.
Additional policies relating to Animal Welfare, Identification & Movement, Child Safeguarding, GDPR, Sustainability, and the ISA Code of Conduct are available in the relevant sections of this website and form part of the overall Show Regulations.
The Show Committee reserves the right to amend or enforce these rules where necessary for the safe and efficient operation of the event.
Show Safety
Steward Authority
All exhibitors, competitors, traders and members of the public must comply with instructions issued by stewards, judges, safety officers and members of the Show Committee at all times.
Failure to comply with steward instructions may result in removal from the showgrounds.
Public Safety
Members of the public are requested to take responsible precautions to avoid accidents and exercise caution when near animals, machinery or moving vehicles.
Visitors must not enter the following areas unless authorised by a steward:

Show jumping arenas

Judging rings

Livestock lines
-
Animal unloading areas

Restricted or steward-controlled areas
Vehicle Movement
All vehicles within the showgrounds must obey designated speed limits and follow steward directions.
Parking is permitted only in designated areas.
Safety Signage
All persons on the showgrounds must obey safety signage and instructions issued by stewards or safety personnel.
Accident Reporting
All accidents, injuries or incidents must be reported immediately to the Show Safety Officer or Show Secretary.
Liability
The Kingdom County Show Committee accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage or accident affecting persons, animals, vehicles or property while attending the showgrounds.
All persons attend entirely at their own risk.
Exhibitor & Attendant Rules
One attendant will be admitted free of charge with each exhibit unless otherwise stated.
Attendants must remain within the showgrounds while responsible for animals or exhibits and must comply with steward instructions at all times.
Exhibitors are responsible for ensuring their animals, equipment and exhibits do not pose a safety risk to the public or other exhibitors.
Trade Exhibitors
Trade exhibitors are responsible for the safe operation of their stands.
All traders must:

Hold appropriate Public Liability Insurance

Comply with Health & Safety regulations

Ensure structures, gazebos and equipment are safely secured

Provide a Safety Statement or risk assessment if requested
Trade stands must not obstruct emergency access routes, walkways or livestock areas.
Animal Handling Rules
All animals must be kept under proper control at all times while on the showgrounds.
Exhibitors must obey steward instructions regarding livestock parking and unloading.
Livestock Unloading
All cattle must be unloaded in designated livestock unloading bays.
Handling Animals
All horses and cattle must be led using a suitable halter, bridle or rope by a competent handler.
Bulls
All bulls must be properly controlled and handled in accordance with recognised livestock safety practice.
A nose ring and staff/pole must be used where appropriate.
Rider Safety
All riders must wear approved riding helmets compliant with current safety standards when mounted.
Stallions
Stallions are not permitted on the showgrounds unless specifically permitted within designated classes.
Animal Health
Animals must be in good health and free from infectious disease.

Class & Competition Rules
Judge's Decision
The decision of the judge or judges in all classes shall be final.
Appeals will only be considered where there is an alleged breach of Show Regulations.
Committee Authority
The Show Committee reserves the right to determine any dispute regarding eligibility, qualifications or interpretation of rules.
The decision of the Committee shall be final.
Number of Prizes
The number of prizes awarded in any class may be determined by the judge based on the quality of exhibits.
Evidence of Eligibility
Exhibitors must provide satisfactory evidence of age, breeding, ownership or eligibility if requested by the Show Committee.
Failure to provide evidence may result in disqualification.
Class Entries
Classes with two or fewer entries may be:

Cancelled
The Show Committee reserves the right to amend or cancel classes without prior notice.
Entry Fees
Entry fees will not be refunded where animals are entered and subsequently withdrawn.
Prize Money
Prize money will be paid within two weeks following the Kingdom County Show and will not be paid on the day of the event.
Additional Important Rules
Dogs
Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times while on the showgrounds.
Photography
Photography and video recording may take place at the show for promotional purposes.
Compliance with ISA Rules
Where applicable, competitions affiliated with the Irish Shows Association will be conducted in accordance with ISA regulations.
